JCB is doubling down on its North American strategy, including by showcasing its 335-horsepower tractor at one of the largest U.S. ag shows

UK original equipment manufacturer (OEM) JCB is taking its previously revealed Fastrac 6300 on the road, premiering the tractor at the 2026 edition of the Farm Progress show, Sept. 1-3, in Boone, Iowa, before taking it to the Canadian Outdoor Farm Show, Sept. 15-17.

Almost a decade after launching the Series 8000, JCB’s 335-horsepower Fastrac 6300 tractor will be commercially available in North America starting this fall at select dealers, Sam Ullyott, agricultural product sales manager for JCB, told AgNavigator.

Fastrac 6300 was first revealed on Sept. 24, 2025, and months later, received the Sustainable Tractor of the Year award at agricultural machinery trade show Agritechnica.

The Fastrac 6300 can perform a range of tasks, including plowing, planting, and loading, thanks to loader brackets available on the redesigned chassis, Ullyott explained.

Equipped with an FPT engine and a ZF transmission, the Fastrac 6300 also features an optional central tire inflation system, allowing farmers to adjust tire pressure while moving, up to 25 miles per hour, he added.

This means that the tractors experience less wheel slip (where drive wheels spin without converting all of that motion into forward movement), improved fuel efficiency, and can apply the correct ground pressure to match the type of farming activity.

Additionally, farmers can bring their own precision ag service, like John Deere’s GreenStar or Trimble, to use with the Fastrac tractors through plug-and-play functionality, Ullyott noted. This is supported by ISOBUS connections on the front and back of the tractor and JCB’s configurable control system, Icon.

“If you want an all-round machine that can do the heavy work in the field — do the higher speed road work — but also then do some loader work in smaller barns or stacking hay in barns, you’ve got a tractor that can do it all,” Ullyott elaborated.

JCB continues North American push

JCB designed the tractor with the North American market in mind by increasing the hydraulic output to 106 gallons per minute, ideal for North American planters, Ullyott explained.

Having roots in the North American market that stretch back to the 1960s, the OEM continues to reinforce its strategy in the region by boosting manufacturing capacity.

JCB is building a million-square-foot manufacturing facility in San Antonio, which is expected to be operational later this year and will employ up to 1,500 people, the company shared. Earlier this year, WesPro JCB also opened a 14,000-square-foot Atlanta, Georgia, facility to reinforce its sales strategy and improve parts availability and service capabilities.

“Currently in the U.S., we import about 80% of our product that we sell into the U.S. We build about 20% of it here. Our aim in the next two years is to flip that around and build 80% of it here on the ground with the workforce in the U.S. and only have to import the 20%, which is lower volume products,” he elaborated.
